Is it me or does it seem like the weekends are getting shorter and shorter? It takes forever for Friday to arrive, yet Monday usually shows up prematurely every, single time. Can we start a petition to shorten the week or just eliminate Monday's all together? Believe me I would sign that petition several times.
Is there a way to abolish the "Monday Blues"? I wish there was a regime, or something that could be practiced that could relieve you of the utter disgust and grogginess that is endured when arriving at midnight every Sunday. I'll honestly pay extra for the secret to never dreading another Monday.
Ok..ok so maybe there isn't a secret formula that will permanently rid you of all your " Monday Blues". However, here are some tips to improving your work week:
1. Adjust your weekend routine. We typically jam pack our weekends with activities, running errands, partying, and other priorities. Take some time for yourself, eliminate constantly dedicating your weekends to other people. Don't over-commit yourself.
2. Switch up your Monday routine. Take yourself out for lunch, step out of the office to take a walk or get some air. Grab a mid-day smoothie to help boost your energy for the remaining hours of the day. Ultimately, give your brain something else to focus on, which will break up the monotony.

3. Lastly, get your mind right. If you convince yourself that Mondays are terrible, then they will be. Perception is definitely key. Use your Monday's as a fresh start and another chance to own the week.
Decrease your stress levels and increase your self-care. Decorate your office, brighten it up! Get cute for work, take a little extra time in the mirror. Create a " Monday Motivation" tactic, post a daily or weekly inspirational quote on your wall. Also, develop an after-work routine for Mondays-- something to look forward to.
So, now its officially time to erase all of the negative connotations you've associated with Mondays over the years. Everyone deserves a second chance..including Monday's.
